Woman charged with 12 shoplifting, fraud offenses

Police have charged a woman with 12 shoplifting and fraud offenses in Dunedin.

Senior Sergeant Anthony Bond, of Dunedin, said officers arrested a 37-year-old woman in High St on Saturday afternoon in connection with an outstanding warrant.

The woman was charged with 10 counts of shoplifting and two counts of Facebook fraud, Senior Sergeant Bond said.

The stolen goods were valued at more than $3,500 and included supermarket items, electronics and tools, he said.

She is due to appear in court this morning.
