PROPERTY site Zoopla has revealed that Bradford is the most popular place to buy a home in Britain.
It said that since 2017, demand had increased by 98 percent for the West Yorkshire city.
East London was the second least popular place with a minus 12 percent demand, while Shrewsbury in Shropshire came in last place with minus 16 percent.
Bradfordwith a population of 350,000, was the birthplace of pop star Zayn Malik, 29, and artist David Hockney, 85.
Demand for housing was now 25 per cent above average compared to five years ago and the average price £256,600, according to the analysis.
Zoopla said, “There continues to be demand for reasonably priced homes, especially in more affordable areas.”
